Who are we?

Lauren, Dré, and Aidan believe all people are common scientists, curious and ready to ask questions. We publish our podcast, Common Science, and blog to demonstrate the value of scientific thinking as a tool for education, connection, and creativity.

Lauren is a teacher and an artist. She spent a tremendous amount of time in patient care and cancer research, and now focuses on non-profit support. She wants to create equity, thus, one of her passions is building a tele-education program for 1,000+ Ugandan health workers. When she has a chance, she enjoys cinematography, writing, and painting.

Dré is an educator and a futurist. Excited about humans, he studied psychology and is presently passionate about storytelling in his roles as a teacher and a writer. He wants a desirable future for all, so he’s authoring a science fiction series, playing with thoughts on our podcast and writing for our blog. When possible, he travels to take in fresh perspectives and foods.

Aidan is a thinker and an entrepreneur. For the sake of learning, he lived abroad, taught people aged 1-100, delivered packages, dove into data privacy, and founded a partnership to provide tablets to seniors. He currently models disease, designs websites, and writes and speaks on our blog and podcast. When free, he spends time with nature.
